Hi,

Thought it was about time I said "hi" properly. A couple of weeks ago I picked up this from the forum.

I was originally after a Coupe, but after a couple of test drives I really got a feel for the roadster. The plan is to take the car on Honeymoon later this year, through France and Italy - really cannot wait. After that it won't be doing many miles, mainly weekend jollys. We also have an A4 B8 2.0 TDI to put the big miles on, and prior to the zed I had a 325i E92 (3.0 straight six - N53?).

The car didn't need much love but in the last two weeks I've:
- Replaced off-side light cluster (MOT advisory on slightly dimmed tail lights)
- Fixed an intermittent fault on the near-side sidelight
- Refurbed the MF steering wheel (fully disassembled and resprayed trim, reconditioned leather)
- Replaced gear knob (OEM)
- New centre caps, wiper blades, etc etc

It's really looking and driving great now, pulls like a train. The only things left on the schedule are:
- Inspection I in the summer
- Headlight polish
- Possible alloy refurb, cash permitting

Pictures coming after full claybar and wax in the next few weeks.

Cheers all!

Another planning a Euro trip for the summer. I must get the map out. Welcome on board.

Hi and Welcome!

I hope pics are coming soon! :poke:

Taking it for the honeymoon? Hmm. For a weekend away sometimes I struggle with all our luggage! One to think about if you're going to take it abroad for a couple of weeks or so! :)

I thought from the title that you were sending the car back. Fortunately not!

We were away for one night last weekend and the car was quite full. And that was in the Discovery (with large hound filling the luggage area)!

Looking forward to pics!

Enjoy :driving:

Hi and welcome OP.

I also thought you were sending your car back, until I read all of your post!

Love the red leather seats!

It sounds like you have a busy year ahead of you! I hope the big day is fantastic, but you can't really go wrong with the honeymoon if it is a Euro road trip in a Z4!

Title changed, thanks chaps :D

We pack light, so not worried about space. Just away with work at the moment so hopefully the weather is right to get some pics up when I get back.

That's a lovely looking car! I picked up my first Z a few weeks back as a second car/toy/mid life crisis (delete as you feel applicable :D ). We were blessed with beautiful weather yesterday so my wife and I "dropped our top" and buzzed up to Wells on some nice back roads. Smiles all round and some justification as to having a load of cash sat in the garage!! I hope you enjoy yours as much.
