But missing the unicorn E89 3.0i DSB & Cream interior :poke:

Cream :o No thank you very much :poke: Design Pure Ivory white I'll have you know  one day one will rock up.. although that may also be the day hell freezes over :D

 That’s where you’re going wrong bud, people are advertising them as cream and you’re dismissing them as they’re not Design Pure Ivory White

I’m anticipating a post where the title is Complete interior change between DSB 23i to 30i

I actually posted on another thread earlier this week that this colour would put me off after previous experiences of colour transfer onto ivory/white/cream leather.

I found a perfect car about 3 weeks ago that ticked every box except Ivory leather instead of black. I’ve revisited the car several times, got the dealer to do a walk video round and closer up pictures and with 2k< Miles it’s already started to look grubby
Mines on 67k mate.. bar a tiny bit of wear on the drivers bolster which you would expect on any seat they look minty fresh mate.. there was some denim marking on the drivers seat when i bought it but it cleaned up very easily. Probably not ideal in a daily but for a weekender its perfect, really brightens up the cabin and gives a sense of occasion

Highlander apologies for the thread hijack.. AA your fellow countryman has terrible manners :poke: :D

Welcome..hope we can meet up sometime..nice looking car..seems to have a damaged number plate thought?

As Argyll Andy points out the Scottish Chapter does quite a few day/weekend runs/breakfast meets..they are all put up on the trips section here as they get planned..the Scottish Z4 Owners Facebook pages are active with many members here also on there..

I'm down in the Borders but have got several northern bound forays planned..COVId permitting.. :driving:

Hi and thanks for getting in touch. Will have a look at the Facebook page too. I am not far from the NC500 main road A9. Working generally at Glenmorangie House, Brand home off the same name whisky makers.😉 Lot of tours stop at the Distillery for a break and photo shoot which is just north of Tain.

Hi and welcome

Nice to hear from you. Noticed you had the three litre model two. I initially was looking for a smaller engine size until this Z4 appeared, with all options, Melbourne Red which I fancied and Auto transmission. It also turned out that Fuel consumption thanks to BMW technical wizardry and VANOS was almost identical to the slightly smaller engines. It’s rarer too as three litre was only produced for three years, I believe.

Was our last trip out in November before we went back into lockdown. There’s also a forum NC500 run later in the year, again in the Scottish events section

Yes very sadly sold the 3.0 due to wife retiring then soon after ended up needing a second car again bought a cheapish mx5 but wife found it too low so we ended up up back in a Z4 but decided to get a newer model so got a 4 pot 2.0 goes fine prob quicker than the 3.0 but I do miss the glorious 6 pot sound track :x

Hallo, nice to be able to join.
A great place with like minded Z4 enthusiasts. Bought mine six years ago. It’s a three litre M model with automatic transmission in Melbourne red and black leather. Only made minor cosmetic changes i.e. side indicators and rear antenna. Also added a Remus Sport exhaust back box and K&N air filter. Do all routine maintenance myself and just delighted with its performance. If there are any members in the Highland area would be nice to catch up once this COVID interruption is over. Thanks again. Ron

Hi Ron,
Nice looking z there, and good choice of colour and engine.
Melbourne red does suit the E89 so well.

As mentioned, there are quite a few Runs/meets planned for the year, although a few have had to be Postponed until further notice, due to Covid as mentioned.

Myself and Nick (Swiftly), have still got quite a few planned through the year, all going well with Covid 19 lockdown hopefully being eased enough by May onwards??

We have done many runs over the years in your area,as well as several runs to Skye, Inverness area, Perth and surrounding areas, Glencoe,Etc etc,not to mention my NC500 meet in 2019,
Which we will hopefully do again in 2022 if things allow, re accommodation, etc.

I think alot of places will be very busy this year, hotels wise, when things start easing off.

Also,if the Lake district is of interest to you,we do a decent weekend meet down there every July.

Be great to meet you at a run some time :driving:
All the best cheers

P.s, nice choice of backbox, the Remus.
I think they have a nice sound

Hi Craig.
Thanks for your message. Nice to know there are quite a few Z4 enthusiasts north of the Border. Will check the Scottish Z4 Facebook page out too regarding trips etc.

I found the Remus a good compromise, sound level is comfortable enough in normal traffic but adds a nice little touch if driving a little sportier. Have you had your Z from new?
Ron

Had it since 2012,bought it on 22k miles.
Had a 2005 3.0i from 2007 also,as my first z4. Loved it too.

Any runs that myself and Swiftly do are only on here,Not the Z4 Scotland Facebook page, as myself (and Swiftly, etc) have no access to that,as its
a Private group.
Its separate from this.

There are indeed many Scottish based z4 owners on here, many who have also moved onto Porsches, etc, but who were active on here for many years until then.
Still a good number though.
Hopefully see you at some of mine or Nicks runs, when lockdown rules allow (and when I get my car fixed).
Yeah,Remus backboxes sound very nice, wanted one for mine for a while now,but missed out on a couple of good second hand ones in the past couple of years (they're a tad expensive new,at circa £1200-1400).

Look forward to meeting you,and seeing your ar at some point Ron  :driving:

P.s,if you're looking for z4forum drives and meets on here, then go into the Forum section, Meets and Roadtrips, and any that me or Swiftly are doing are posted under craig3.2
