Hey guys,

My names Luke and I've been lurking in the shadows of the board for a while now, so thought I'd join up whilst I'm killing some time at work!

I just bought my 2.5i Z4 a couple of months back, and I just sent her off today to get the wheels refurbed (previous owner knocked £500 off because the wheels were scruffy).

I'm getting a charcoal/ anthracite inner with chrome outer lip finish.

So thought I'd share some pics and say hi!

alright luke. i live in st albans too, where abouts are you?

bought my Z about 2 months ago...pricedropped because window regulators gone. always a good result!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I'm from Bricket Wood, so basically right between Watford and St Albans!

Minihen_LDN, wheels are being refurbed by a family friend who owns a garage in Chesham. Cost is around £340 for all 4 wheels (with split rims) but just found out previous owner had them sprayed by a mobile van, so they coated over the bolts (doh) which means I may need new bolts all round. They are only roughly £1 each, but there are 80 of them...

Happy to put you in touch with the guy, but may want to wait until we see the finished result (Saturday this week)

No worries on the wheels dude, I'll stick some up on Saturday when I get her back

I'm close to Whipsnade, so only 10 mins up the M1 and my family live in St Albans (park st).
As there seems to be a few of us nearby, anyone interested in meeting up one evening ?

Not sure if we need to do something official but if anyone's interested in meeting up around St. Albans then perhaps if they show their interest on this post and we could sort out something.

So I finally got my car back (after an absolute shocker with the refurb, which to be fair was not the guy doing its fault) and I'm v happy with the result! Please see below for the before and after shots...

I can highly recommend the guys who did teh refurb, very professional and they get it done. Just one thing, be aware that if your wheels have been refurbed on the cheap without splitting the rims, chances are that you may need to replace all of the bolts holding them together, and this can cost up to around £80 + labour.

ps. ignore the caveman/ jesus in my car.
