Hello!

My name is Sven. I am from Germany and normaly I am an active member of a german forum for BMW Z. Because I always want to find new inspiration I decided to come here and have a look what you are doing with your Z-models.

I drive a BMW Z4 3.0i from 2004 with a few modifications... .

But lets start with one of the first pics of my Z4 (must be 2008):

Hi Sven welcome to the forum I am sure you will find it a great place to be and plenty of information available on all things Zed :D

Two Germans joining the forum in less than a week - has there been a falling out of members on the German forums?
Anyway, Wilkommen, and looking forward to pics of your Z4, hope you can get them posted
das Leben ist kein Ponyhof :P

Joining in style, your Zed looks great - you change your allows like one of our members changes his cars.
Welcome along

Excellent English wot you have wrote. And a very nice motor car. Prefer the grey OZ wheels out of all that choice!

A few details about the modifications:

Suspension:
The car had M-suspension when I bought it.
first I added Eibach-springs,
later I switched to KW V2,
in the meantime I switched again and now a KW Clubsport 2-way is installed together with uniball-bearings

- H&R stabilisation-kit
- Powerflex bearing at the wishbones
- OZ leggera 8,5x19 offset 35mm with 12mm spacers on the rear
- Michelin PSS 235/35/19

Other mods:
- short differential from the BMW E86 coupe
- CDV removed
- mp3-player installed
- windbrake out of glas
- M-frontbumper
- M-hood
- M-headlights
- symetric rearlights
- Performance-break from BMW 135i at the front (345mm) and back (322mm) togther with Ferodo DS2500 brakepads
- Bastuck exhaust
- removed antenna
- modified steering wheel

I think I have forgotten I few things but to get an idea it might be enough.

Sven

How do you rate the exhaust compared to the standard one? Do you get any droning noise at cruising speeds around 120kph

Welcome, loving the calipers
Thanks. For me it was important to get more performance on the brakes. But that they are good looking is also not that bad :D

It is much louder now because the middle part are only strate pipes, and yes there are droning noises at round abou 2000 to 2200 rpm. For me it is standard in the meantime but if you want to have it a little less droning you have to drive at rpm above 2200.
I think the best way in case of performance and sound is to modify an standard exhaust professional. Because the chance is very high to end without droning.
