New member and new to Z4's

Hi all,

I've owned BMW's before but never a Z4. Just picked up a 2006 2.5i Sport in Ruby Black. Its just coming up to 58k and seems to be a very well looked after car.

I've already gleaned a lot of info from the forum in the short time I've been reading so thanks for that already. Hope to learn more and maybe meet a few others. I'm Bucks area.

At the moment not too many plans for it other than to enjoy it although I may get a remap just to give it a little more pep?

Welcome aboard.
Now then.................. how exactly would you like us to help you spend your money? :D

You mean apart from swapping it for one with a proper roof? :)

Looks lovely - what's the strange orange dot above the rear tyre?

Cheers guys....

Proper roof :D ..I needed a drop top back in my life (used to have an mx5 years ago) plus I've just come from 8 years of motorcycle only (Fireblade) ..so not ready to be fully caged in yet.

The orange dot is my editing skills, must have added it when cropping the image...either that or its an alien orb.

Couple of things...

I need to get the Bluetooth pin from the module in the boot. If I do this, will music work once paired or is it only calls? It has Business stereo with mic on steering column. If not I'll need to either get the Bluetooth adaptor to the back of the stereo or do the aux input mod.

Also, didn't realise until today but love the hill assist...never knew it had that.

Remaps....go with any as much of a muchness or any specific/ favourite. I know it will only go from 170ish to 193ish but I think it'll be worth it? I have a quantum chip guy 5 mins from my house at £249 for a remap.

Who buys a roadster then welds a roof on?
You all sound a little insecure to me.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Ruby Black looks stunning in the right light, but is hard work to keep clean - as I found out with my first Z4.

From what I have read a remap adds minimal power to the N/A engines, but may improve drivability.

Those wheels look great though.

Hi and welcome my 2.5i has a Quantum remap it does make a small difference in low - mid range torque - worth it in my opinion for the money

Great to hear, I have a Quantum guy literally 5 minutes from my door I've just learnt so I thin I'll pop down there and get it done. Any difference is welcome and not expensive at I think about £250. Thanks for the feedback.
