new matt black grill

Hi guys just an update on the purchase of some matt black kidney grills, piece of poo to fit, im so shocked into how easy my old ones poped out, surely u should have to open bonnet and unscrew something to stop these getting nicked! but just grab and inside slat push up, ul feel it get loose then pull out towards you till out of place, do same on the middle and then the outside slate. best done sitting on a small stool. new one is a reverse just make sure you push in on all 4 corners so it clicks into place. done in 3 mins.

Not sure what I like more. Both look great. I find the silver a little more class but black makes it more aggressive. I think I would keep both and adjust to my mood of the day :). Do I make sense?

I have been wrapping my own one, started yesterday on and off, finished today and just put them on the car.

thanks to inkey$ for giving me his old grills (you are a star :thumbsup: ) and found a how-to on the net, which kind of gave me the idea and done :P haven't taken a photo yet, but when I do will post it here. all in all cost less than £8, even if it doesn't last, who cares :lol:

Because at least Andy finishes some of his mods :poke:

havent got round to it, and navid's link does it the same wasy as me so no real point now unless you still want it.

-No im ok thanks mate-i was just interested to see how its done,but as you say navid.d has done a how to :)
 
Looking good Mark.

I literally just changed mine 30 minutes ago too - and I was just about to come on here to say how easy it was when I saw this thread. Can't believe you just lift and pull to remove them! Anyway, looking forward to seeing them in place in daylight. Cheapest mod I'll ever make (£39.95 from ebay!)

I'll stick some pics up tomorrow after I have given some soapy love to my baby - fitted grilles today, they look luuuuush :oops:
