This is the 6 series Gran Coupe....a sure fire flop so far, and residuals in the toilet too. I think the 6 series is not doing to great on residuals either. You can get an 18 month old 640SE Cab for £39,995 now.

Compare that with a 645 Cab I bought in 2006, which was 18 months old, and I paid £47,000 at a dealer.

Curse of the big petrol engines again. Is the 640d doing any better?

i like it but then i also like the CLS
6 series are astounding motors for the money & possibly the only car i would trade the Z for right now http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201211144230617/sort/default/usedcars/model/6_series/make/bmw/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/radius/100/postcode/bb120hr/page/4/quicksearch/true?logcode=p :)

I was under the impression that there was a naming convention...

the six is a two door five series,
the four will be a two door three series,
and the two to be a two door one series.

I guess Mercedes have trashed that plan with the CLS. :)

edit - I see MrWilks got there before me.

Not bad but there's a whole lot of choice out there for £100k

However, I do like the current 6 series in non m-guise, they look so much better in the flesh than pictures, so will be interesting in 3-4 yrs when they drop to about £25k... but by then so will a lot of other top end cars ... :)
