I've been on the wrong end of a 650 Convertible and I'm sure residuals are no better on the new M6. The Vantage isn't a great car, but if I base my thoughts on it compared to what physical money I would lose, then a Vantage would be a better car.
I know Bentley do a fast 4 seater, I maybe think, and maybe just me, that a two seater sports, maybe an extreme sports like an M is a better option, not perhaps in M3 or M5 incarnation, but in a 6, it's hard to see what it's trying to achieve. Is it a GT car without the pedigree some would expect close to £100K?
Mercedes have no pedigree perhaps, sweeping statement I know, but their work on SLS, SLR lends them more credibility on a car of high cost maybe more than BMW....
One reason I sold the 650, is because I thought it was a very big sports car, and I perhaps didn't think the size was a good thing for such a car. Almost more so in an M6....
