Hello everyone

We have just purchased a z4m roadster .. well we have left a £200 deposit and going to pick up next saturday
Test drove today all seems ok plus has full bmw service history with inspection 2 just been completed last year.

Got the price low as well .. just been searching about the S54 engine and some usa sites say they explode !! this got me worried have I any thing to worry about ?

.. so any help would be helpful .. I will try and put some pics up

thanks

Very common issue, I'd be surprised if it doesn't blow up on your journey home after purchase.!! :poke:

Just joking, the engine will be fine as long as it's serviced. If you go on autotrader you will see loads of E46 M3's with well over 120k all going strong. Think people get a bit scared buying an M. I was the same buying an M3 but after a year of ownership realised the thing was pretty much bulletproof even with driving it like a fool

Hello all

we haggled and got the price for £12450

so was very pleased with ourselves .. what do you all think fellow members

Welcome

That's a lovely car, seems to have a lot of 'desirable' options, low owners and not crazy miles... I'd say getting a grand off the asking price is making the most of the low season. Nice one 8)

Has it been garaged ? If not, check the roof works with no hesitation and clear the roof drains as soon as you get it. Plenty on here about how to do that task.

looks like a very honest car... id rather have an honest vehicle than one thats been tarted up... very nice, low owners, id say the s54 is running is fine fettle at 50k miles...

u could probably tool around in this over winter and sell it for more in summer.

Hi and welcome. Nice looking car and you got it for a good price.

I trust that you appreciate that (your own) pics will be required. Any time next weekend will be just fine!

Enjoy.

Hi Everyone

what a great start to a great forum

I tried the roof motor .. and it all worked correctly so at this stage not much I can do until I get it home

how do the new road tax rules now ?

thanks everyone

regards

Looks a great find in excellent condition, good history and nothing needing doing

Well done and welcome to the Forum

:driving:

great motor looks good one of the best colours .m are the best one to go for strong engine etc  you can do the road tax on internet now you have to tax it in your name before you can pick it up I think with the new laws .

mine is going up for sale full history 29000 miles silver grey that has give a good guide of how to price mine

Hi and welcome to the madhouse, that looks like a nice ///M, love the colour.

Oi Lynchy, shortfuse 2 looks as though they might be selling :poke:

Hi and welcome, nice looking car. Even at that price, it's means this is the lowest depreciating car of value I've owned.
