Hi Everyone
Love my new ‘09 Z4 23i. I like the idea of some mild mods. I’d like a bit more throaty exhaust note without back box deleting it. (If that’s at all possible?) Does anyone know what I could do?
But my main question is, does anyone have any experience of “Bimmercode” app for re coding stuff? I looked at ICarly, but not happy with a lot of bad reviews about it. Any advice would be great.

Hi, there’s a few owners on here with Carly & most seem happy with it, easy to use and can also read fault codes-there’s more sophisticated software available to do similar things but they’re normally considered more of an expert option.
It’s possible to get the oem silencer doctored for more noise if that’s your thing, they don’t sound bad with that 6pot engine though, do they? :?

I believe people have had back boxes modified for more sound - depending where you are there may be someone on here who can do it for you.

I've had some functions on 2 of my cars coded by forum members using Carly and that has worked great. But I think other options are considered better for dealing with fault codes, and if you buy Carly now they charge an annual subscription which didn't used to be the case.

Did anyone mention photos yet? :lol:
 
OK, so when you type in the "Quick Reply" box below that on the left you should find an "Add Files" button. Click on that then select browse, find your photo and select "open" and you should be good to go. If you want to check it worked before you "Submit" your reply try the "Full Editor & Preview" option. :thumbsup:
 
I'm just glad you got it to work, especially as your car looks fantastic in that colour combination. :thumbsup:
 
That was the showroom pic from a well known car trader website. I fell in love with it and bought it over the phone, there and then.

Deep Sea Blue - my favourite Z4 colour :thumbsup: :thumbsup: . But that interior would probably drive me nuts trying to keep clean. Somewhat easier to hide the signs of use/abuse with a black interior :D .

:D Yep I do, dealer is about 3 miles from my house!
He has some lovely top end motors. Sometimes tempted to come out of retirement. With us being out on a limb here, I've heard that they sometimes want 'delivery drivers' 8)

Had a few issues after I bought the car and Matt couldnt have done anymore to sort everything out. Service was fantastic.
They drove me from Barrow back to Keswick in a £50k Panamera. Lovely👍
 
Nice to meet everyone. Thanks for the compliments on the car and advice. I’m fitting an upgrade gear shifter from Chromium tech, tomorrow, so i’m looking forward to fitting that👍
