can i cut open my old key and put the transponder in a new flip rather than getting the new key programmed
i’ve been quoted some silly prices to program the new key
old key works fine just want something a little newer

Yes. Check out "The Zed Shed". He does them for about 90 GPB IIRC. Will be getting mine done when I go back to UK over Xmas.

madmutt I think that should be fine to do. But if you have just the 1 key and would like a spare I also program after market flip keys (£40-£50 depending on key of choice). Note the supplied blade would need to be cut elsewhere.

Thank you for the response don’t really want to cut open my second key so may have the programming done on the new key I’m in Bristol
