yes. It's designed for BMW old key retrofit.

Yours is different Jamie, the one above is for putting the insides of a diamond key into, so still has the rechargeable battery although it can be replaced. Yours has a new transponder and remote board inside.

yes. I also have changed a new oem rechargeable battery. I like it because it is more heavier than the diamond key.
