Hello!
I’ve been lurking for a while both before and after the purchase of my 2004 3.0 roadster back in January.
I noticed that photos are a thing here so I was waiting for nice weather to get a good batch for you all but then the lockdown hit and I haven’t been able to get out. I’ve attached some that I have managed to get.

I’ve been a SEAT fan for a while having had a number of fast Leons right up to my current 1.8 FR 180. However, approaching a certain age I felt the need for a 2 seater convertible with a 6 cylinder engine. I narrowed it down to the Z4, SLK350 & 350Z. This Z4 came up because a friend was selling it. At 60k and fully documented history it was a no brainer.

Since buying I have fitted a stubby aerial, fitted a BlueMusic adapter and just this week moved the roof motor into the boot following the awesome instructions on this forum. Next job is headlamp restoration and then that’s it. It’s an unmolested original car so seems a shame to muck about with it too much. It even has the original first aid kit under the passenger seat.

I do have a question about the roof motor relocation and the short length of the hose that goes to the top of the Left hand actuator. Is this normal? With the motor in the boot the actuator end of this hose is almost kinked where it’s fixed with a cable tie under the coupling. I could remove the cable tie to release another cm of hose but that would then put strain on the coupling itself. Not seen anything about this in any of the guides so interested in experience from others.

Julian

Welcome to the forum. Perfect first post. Could not fail with Widemouth bay as the back drop. 8)

Hi and welcome.

I had a 2000 model Leon Cupra back in 2003, and while I really liked it I've always preferred RWD - especially since I discovered straight 6 engines!

And it looks like you have found a great car - hopefully you will be able to enjoy it more sometime soon. :driving:
