New interior and alloy wheel rim bands

Just picked up my car from trim technik
And I'm very happy with my new interior.

Seats look quite nice. Saw some white wheel bands earlier which I prefer but understand they don't necessarily go with your car

Looks good.

Don't like the red on the wheels.

Are there any pictures before the work was done?
 
Hi Scrapman The red trim on your wheels are they Alloy Gators? I have been thinking about getting some for mine
When I get my wheels refurbed.
 
I just had the black leather standard SE interior, and thought it needed a little living up.
The red trim is a alloy wheel rim band to protector the alloy (my Mrs likes to accidentally curb my wheels). They deflate the tyre and it's a specialist shaped rubber which sits between the alloy and tyre and re inflate.

Think that's one mod that has probably added value to a car for once. Really brings it back to life. :thumbsup:

Shame you went and ruined it by decreasing the value with the red bits on the wheels! :rofl: :poke:
 
If those are Alloy Gators (https://www.alloygator.com/), I've used them in the past on a previous car. But in silver - they actually made the alloys look larger. They really do work very well and do save the alloys and are extremely robust (much tougher than the alloy).

PS. What sort of money does a leather re-trim cost?
 
It was £900+vat for new BMW coral red leather seats with the quilted switching in black perforated leather.
2 new door cards and red handbrake and gear gators all fitted.
 
Brave move that's added a quality bespoke touch to the interior :thumbsup:
Not so sure on the colour rim protectors though :cry:

Was determined not to buy anthing else for the car and you go and spoil it! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
 
Thumbs up for personalising your car. Looks like a good job on the interior, not sure on the rim protector colour but it's your car.
It would be boring if we all liked the same things.
