Not sure if the below link will work but just got a video of the new I8 in the BMW news letter.

Stunning, absolutely stunning.

If the link doesn't work I am sure its on the main website and definitely worth drooling over.

Wife doesn't like it for some reason but has mentioned she does like the idea of a new kitchen extension.???

I get the same newsletter and thought it was stunning, better than the coupe version i.m.o. and a wicked colour combo.
No mention of price but whatever, it's way outside my budget.

Very pretty and feminine. Just missing a nice V12, like a proper 8 series. :

If that's feminine I am turning gay. I will settle for the 3 ltr straight six from the 35is(Which doesn't sound too bad) and an additional electric motor driving the front wheels. Might not sound the same as the V12 but I have driven the hard top version and with effectively 4 wheel drive, the handling is superb and trust me she flies.

But, it only has half the engine of the 35is - from the Mini range, I think - it is turbocharged but it's 3 cylinders and 1.5L... :?

That really doesn't do anything for me....and would be way down my list if I was spending £127k on a car. R8 V10 or a 1.5lt 3cylinder car....hmmm tough choice?!

Exactly :o Unless you have a proper car too. Your not going to spend 127k on a pretty prius wanabe.

Whoops  thought it said 3 litre not 3 cylinder. Still 0-62 in 4.6 seconds is not exactly slow but agree sound or lack of it may be an issue but would still have one on the drive.

That set up would be an interesting option in the new Z4?
