New hood for the Z3 :o)

I like that Tim. Do you use foam pipe to help with the rear screen? Remember it as a tip when I had a 2.8 vert and you'd place it in position when the hood was down to extend the life of the screen. Had the hood replaced on my old Z3 when it got broken into. Black mohair and around £200-300 fitted IIRC.

Thanks inkey, I know some use the foam pipe trick so as to avoid a pronounced crease in the screen but as mine was well used it seemed to fold pretty good. I have the BMW blanket which helps to keep abrasion and wear down, haven't folded the new one down yet as have to leave it for few days, I guess for the sealant to fully cure.

Tim.

Thanks for the replies, as you can probably tell absolutely love the Z3  and probably will never sell it.

Re the wheels, these were the original Type 78 when I bought the Zed in 2008 7.5x17 fronts 8.5x17 rears

2010 it was on with the AC Schnitzers Type 3 8.5x18 front and rears with 7mm spacers.

2012 the Zed became a winter car so the ACS alloys came off and now fitted with RS JK5 alloys 8x18 front and rear with all season tyres. The rims are stainless steel as opposed to chromium plate so they don't tarnish or corrode from the salt.
