Hmm ? Electric...glider ? Do you use the electrics to get the plane up to altitude and then glide it around ?

We had a rubber band glider with a 5ft wingspan but that was a billion years ago , then we just went straight RC with gas power

yep, use 11.1v 1300amp 3 cell lipo battery '(i 've got 4), manage to get a 35 minute flight out of one battery pack today. i use to fly ic planes but too noisey and messy so trying electric.

I crashed too many so I only play with wheeled or tracked stuff when I get a chance.

I used to fly rc planes at exhibitions, great fun. 1/4 scale Pitts Specials and Extra 300s were my thing

At one display an RAF Harrier pilot said he'd like to have a go flying one of my planes after the event. I was delighted to offer him the chance on a "you fly mine, I'll fly yours" basis. He declined for some reason!

My speciality was a knife edge loop with a half lomcavak at the top!

:dizzy:

More RC flyers! Yay!

I'm a member of a local club where we fly just about every weekend, weather permitting. But I never take the Zed down to the airfield because a) I can get a lot more stuff in my Honda wagon, and b) there's mud down there!!

I admire your spirit for packing a plane in a Zed though. Nice.

Sailplane-wise I was looking at the Radian Pro myself, but ended up with a Pilot Oregano II ... which hasn't flown yet. The Radian Pro does look like a nice bird though. Other than that I fly a few Multiplex foamies: Fun Cub, ParkMaster 3D, and Acromaster. Plus a few helis. Great fun.

When I was stationed in Japan at Yokota AB. The base model flying club put on a demo during an open base air show festival. Something went wrong and the poor guy doing the RC flying. Smoked is RC plane into the side of a C-5 Galaxy. A real one. Did over $30,000 damage to the Galaxy. OOPS!

RC demo's where not part of the air show after that.
