Hi, new member here, I’m considering a G29 Z4 and while I would like an M40, realistically I think a 30i will be more my budget choice. I’m soaking up as much information as I can on the model, so expect some questions regarding spec, colours and experiences. Thanks in advance.

Why not look for a 20i and get it mapped to (above) 30i power levels? Same B48 engine in both. Remaps are cheap and pretty reliable these days.
Only problem is if you want or need the BMW warranty, cos they won't like it! :D
 
BMW no longer do a 30i, a 20i out of warranty and mapped as Pondy says may be your best route. I went from a 718 Boxster to a 30i, I didn't consider an M40 as I didn't need the power or want the extra associated costs.

Mainly because I have this. :evil:

Good deduction Andy , especially when I’m sending this from Lanzarote
Scurebaregs. The car would be used probably 2019-20, I could follow your lead as San Francisco red is my favourite colour, and I have still got the gs for now anyway, I used to ride my sons s1000 more than he did though.
