HI everyone nice to meet you all. :) I've just ordered my new Z4 sdrive 35I M Sport, at the moment I've gone for the the Red Leather with Space Grey, but I'm now toying with the idea of going for Walnut with the same exterior. Anyone got any thoughts on what I should do?

Haven't seen any with Walnut leather, is it not a wise choice?

Many thanks in advance :)

Havent seen the walnut in the flesh but I'm guessing it maybe harder to shift at resale time, a bit like beige on the E85

like ksher I would also take Walnut over Coral.

I have seen in the "flesh" a white 23i with Walnut, see here -

Welcome to the Forum - trim choice in 'walnut' not for me. As shrutch, perhaps hard to shift n it come to sell.

All good points above, i'm colourblind so not sure i get the full effect of the pic in the link wondermike posted but remember whatever you choose you're living with it from then on so what colour are you going to want to see around you and what colour is going to make you say, 'yeah - you da business!'
I chose pure white package because despite the risk of it getting dirty and needing ocd attention i knew i was going to look at the colour combo and let a little cry of glee slip out every time i went near the car :) Good luck choosing

Think my next one will be black with Coral, easier to keep than beige but not as boring and oppressive as black, however do think the grey and coral is okay, it's just the grey part, reminds me of the that prime minister after Thatcher who was so boring and grey that I can't even recall his name :D

Welcome to the forum DJTex. Nice choice to have! Heart says walnut, head says something more resellable - but then heart says to head, go with the gut (incidentally, the gut hasn't commented yet). Looking forward to seeing the end results!

I really like the Walnut.

Looks a bit ropey in isolation, but marry it up to the white external colour and it is lovely.

Would I be brave enough to order it though......... :(

Thanks for the replies and the welcome guys. We've made the switch, decided to go for Walnut, I've had red leather in my current TT so time for a change. :)

Just got to decide what to do about Audio now, the standard system didn't sound too bad to my ears on the day long test drive I had, but I do like good sound quality. But then the upgrades are pricey, can't see the point of the Business one when you can have Professional for £300 more. What is the actual spec of the standard system when combined with iDrive?

I have the standard system, my one piece of advice - if you are remotely interested in music spend the extra. The standard system is adequate with the top up, with it down worthless. Probably my only real gripe with the car.

Thanks for all the advice guys, ended up with the following spec, to say I'm excited is the understatement of all time, delivery should be some time in May, no exact date as yet...

35i M-Sport - Manual
Space Grey
Walnut Leather
Professional Nav
Connectivity Package
18" Rims
Wind Deflector
Extended Storage
Seat Heating
M-Sport Suspension Deletion
PDC
Professional Speaker System

Best colour combination . You don't want M Sport suspension? It is not that hard compared to E85/E86.

Never driven an old Z4, but I have an Audi TT currently on 19's and it crashes all over the place. I borrowed a Z4 demo which was an M-Sport without M-Sport suspension on 18's, and I thought it was fantastic. If we had smoother roads in the UK, I might go for the harder option, but as standard it seemed nice and firm, sweet through the corners, never crashy, and the perfect blend of sportiness and comfort. So was an easy choice.
