New here with a Z4 E85 3.0si

Hello all,

I am Casper from The Netherlands. I own a Z4 for 6 months now. Went to Germany to buy it with a mileage of +/- 240.000 KM. It's a Z4 facelift from end 2006 in black with the N52 3.0L engine and the 6-speed automatic gearbox. It has quite some options, like electric seats and xenon.

In germany where I bought the car:

I do all the mainenance on the car myself and that was a lot this year. :? Next year there are still some things planned that needs to be done but that is less important. In short what i did:

- New waterpump + thermostat
- New oolant expansion tank + sensor
- 2 new 200 cells sport catalyst
- All lambda probes new
- New valve cover
- Injector checking + ultrasonic cleaning
- Changed Gearbox oil + filter
- Changed Normal filters + engine oil
- Changed differential oil
- Provide brake calipers with new rubber and new discs + pads in the front and back
- Other rims + tires (Z4M wheels)
- Other starter motor

Next year will be more on the exterior/interior hopefully. I did already the upgrade with the X3 radio buttons and installed a GROM BT3. I am at the moment looking for a heated black sport interior (M / sport seats). If anybody has them for sale, let me know. I also want to wrap the interior decor lists in black. Maybe an M front bumper in the future too or another exhaust, we will see.

In a few weeks, I will put the Z4 in the garage for the winter but looking for upgrades or other things to change is always nice. I looked already several times around here so now it is time to register myself. The information here is very useful.

Why put it away for the winter? Put some winter tyres on it and hopefully there might be some snow on the ground in NL this year! :evil:
Not like it's so hilly here, unless you're in the south?

Edit: Oh wacht even, I see you have an auto box. Not fantastic for powerslides in the snow perhaps.

Thanks Chris. I do have another car that I already own so I will drive that one in the winter. Luckily not that south, Living in Noord-Brabant.
I don't want to sell my other car yet because I have also done a lot on that one technical and optical. So for now the Z4 is the 'summer' car. :roll:

Those 224s look much better than what it had originally! Enjoy your 3.0Si before it goes away for winter.
