New Hardtop Type Now Available

Blimey that tops been about and allegedly 'available' since I got my Zed in Sept 2006, except it wasn't and hasn't been......think they told CJ it was 'available' as well a long while ago but it involved advance orders before they actually turned any out.

Its a shame because it looks great.
 
That looks nice, it would almost be enough for me to trade a coupe for a roadster. Not quite enough though.

Would make an interesting winter project for someone - get your fibre glass kit out and start making some wooden moulds :)
 
I like it :thumbsup: (still prefer my OEM hardtop :lol: )

I would query build quality, as I've seen bad reports of non OEM hardtops
 
Just a bit suspicious of non-OEM stuff, especially for something as big as this.

Would love to see a real world photo of this fitted though.
 
We should offer to trial a couple for the Winter :)

Must say it looks good in the photo, very E89 but thats no bad thing for me.
 
Yes - this has been kicking around for years and as posted they told me if they could get several orders they would build some. I'm sure I posted about it on here but travelling so dodgy Internet to search, copy link and post..

looks like they took a standard hardtop and added some tinted windows!! doesnt look any different in size or shape

As you say in the original thread, I think the new one is missing something. It looks a little too much Grand Tourer for me. BMW nailed the styling with the OEM one, adding that roof spoiler. The French one comes across as a bit too rounded.

2200 Euros?! I could think of many better upgrades to spend that on...
