Hey guys,

Just put a deposit down on a 2004 3.0l manual z4 in silver and pick her up on Saturday. Just thought I would drop in and say hello. I do have a couple of questions though-

1. Where is the best place to buy parts for the z4's from?
2. How is the best way to fit an aux/ipod port in to the business sound system
3. Where is the cheapest place to buy a wind deflector for the back?

Welcome Kraig. Good choice of both motor and forum.

1. Depends what parts but if you're after OEM then Jamie at Sopers BMW, Lincoln does forum discount.
2. Buy an aux cable/block. Remove the centre vents (do a thread search, its tricky!) and plug into the back left of stereo unit. Again, lots of threads on this and your options.
3. Sopers again or if you put out a WTB thread you may get lucky with a forum member.

We have a strappy wind deflector and don't bother with it. It doesn't seem to make much difference. YMMV

Is there anything that your guys have done to your zeds that you would recommend. I mean, engine mods, body mods etc?
 
Welcome keza1 - stay away from the perspex wind deflectors - do a search and you'll find they creak and chatter at speed - best to stay with OE - cheaper though - I have one fitted to my Zed and can live with it at about half the price of OE and less intrusive in looks. Enjoy the Forum there's stacks to get through. :thumbsup:
