New guy, youngster with a 3.0si SE Coupe

Hello!

Just purchased and got insured (which was the surprising part!) on a Z4 3.0si SE coupe, silver with aluminium trim and light grey leather. I'm currently over the moon with this car. The rear end is just a thing of beauty! & not as bad on petrol as I thought it would be which is another plus.

Oh did I mention I'm 19 this is only my second car the first was a 1.2 corsa... for insurance reasons obviously. So it has been quite a step up!

This forum helped me with the research on the car before purchase, thanks!

Congrats SouthYorkshireRob! Looks great and I like the wheels. Hope the insurance wasn't too pricey, can be tough at a younger age. Hope you're enjoying it!

£1500 fully comp, 2 years No Claims. Well worth every penny :D

Had to be the coupe from the minute I spotted one, so stunning, so rare. I suppose roadsters aren't bad however :P
 
I still got you beat as the baby on the forum! First and only car at 17 is an 03 3.0i roadster! No way I'd be able to pay the insurance alone though! :( but it was an agreement if I got the car mommy pays my insurance and I pay for everything! Including gas to go to school. :cry: waaaaa! Its no fair, how dare she spoil me! :x but atleast I pay for everything other than insurance. Took me months just to get a new battery. Haha props on the new car! Even if it is a coupe! :lol:
 
Hello and congrats on the new car. You've done really well on the premium. I got a quote for my two 17 year old of £11k insurance on the same coupe.

The alloys could do with a refurb and the back window sticker has been removed!
As for other things I would like to do in future, an M sport steering wheel would be nice.

Welcome. That one very very nice Z4 coupe. Im also 19 and I have Z4 2.5i roadster from 2003. I live down in London but if your ever down south drop me a message.

Hi, had a few quotes from different companies around that price, like I said I have the 2 years no claims so I guess that helped. It was around the same price to insure the 3.0 as it was to insure the 2.0 no idea why!
