Hello all, I have decided to join this wonderful Z4 forum as I hope to one day purchase a 2.5L or 3.0L E85 Z4 convertible manual gearbox. I love the E85/E86 and I hope to get a 2004 model.

I have read the excellent buyers guide many times but I am sure I will have many questions prior to buying my zed, so please go easy !!

Thanks guys. Yes I would prefer to buy a zed from someone on these forums rather than joe public. The 3.0 E85 with 107s is the one for me !! :thumbsup:

If you want advice, which is usually advice on how to spend lots on your Zed, then this is the place.

You will find us (mostly) very friendly - provided that you post pics as soon as you get home from collecting! :D

Many thanks for the warm welcome chaps. Are there any Zed owners meets in Berks/Hants/Surrey where I could come along and get to know what to look for when I search for my Zed? It would be nice to meet and talk to you enthusiasts and have a look at your cars. :)

Oh James.... we've been (not) organising a Surrey/Hampshire meet for ages. We've also had a page (not) dedicated to getting one sorted.

Perhaps in light of your quest for knowledge and information on these lovely machines, we should put something together so you can come and have a look.
 
A Saturday or Sunday lunch pub meet sounds in order lads, OR we could perhaps meet one Sat morning at Mercedes Benz world near Brooklands? Get a coffee, have a look at some AMGs, then talk ZED !!! :D :)

I will be the sad git in the family Honda MPV !!!!!!!!! :x :D :thumbsdown: :)

Not a massive MB fan A1GSS but it makes a fairly decent meeting point for those of us from Berks/Hants/Surrey and M25. Who's potentially up for a meet? :)
