Yes it does. They have been posted on this forum recently and I have studied them a 100 times. 10 minutes installation time has been mentioned :? so that probably means at least an hour for me. :wink:
I do hope the scotchloks provided work OK because I don't fancy going out to buy a gas soldering iron kit!
 
I live in the sticks at the end of the postal round so mine is not expected until 1.30pm and we have a temp on a Tuesday so might be even slower. :x
 
I'll be lucky to see mine today. Letters arrive OK, but our rural posties like to wait until there is enough parcels to make a trip worth their while...
 
Got mine just now.....wohoo!!!

hopefully i can get out of work at a decent hour to fit it.

now....the question is..... to solder or not to solder (use scotch clips)......
 
I'd possibly recommend soldering if you can, majeric! I've just fitted mine. OTH works great, but the remote doesn't at all. I've emailed Gary and he thinks it's most likely a connection issue......I used the scotch clips and they all seemed nice and tight. Obviously not...... anyone know of a decent auto electrician near Newport / Cardiff?? I don't go anywhere near soldering irons!
 
Just installed mine!

1st attempt and I saw no change at all!

Had a look and the larger wire in the white clip was nearly breaking the plastic scotch clip, so I ran to Robert Dyas to buy a soldering iron, knifed the plastic back to the wires and soldered this to the red wire.

Works like a charm now. There is a slight delay in closing the hood again on the remote (around 5 seconds) which made me a bit anxious at 1st.

Whoopee. Arrived at 11.30am. Carefully fitted using scotchloks and double checked the wiring and connections. Struggled to get it to work on the remote initially and then realised it's all about timing on the key fob.
Works like a dream now. :wink:
Thanks to Gary for a prompt service and brilliant product and also to majeric for organising this group buy. :thumbsup:
