Guys I used the list, sorry

I did post I needed the measurements (twice now) for 3.0 se and 2.5si 's or 2.5i or anything else , without someone going outside taking 5 mins of their time to jack their car up and measure the underside of the backboxs there is nothing I can do :(

The only confirmed measurements are :

3.2 m 410mm (Pixelott did this)
3.0 Si 360mm (I followed his instruction and did the same)

We can order more this is no problem but will need the exact measurements guys :)

So if someone wants to take the lead and do this , if would really benefit everyone else,

We need:
2.0
2.5 / 2.5si
3.0

Cheers Guys

Just wanted to publicly say a big thanks to Paza3 for organising this. I've not lifted a finger other than transfer some money and he's done all the hard work in organsiing the group buy, placing the orders, sorting shipping etc.

Seconded thanks Paza3 looking forward to receiving it next week and hearing how you get on with your fitment tomorrow.

I have been quoted £150 by a nearby exhaust fitter not sure if that is reasonalble but as I am not removing the exhaust maybe that's about right?

Edit

Guys it’s what the forum is all about no worries

£150 Is a bit much for a si imo, for an M it should be no more than an hour’s labour. 10 mins to remove exhaust 10 mins to fit it a simply bracket , drill two holes each bb then weld simples like I say only an hours work am waiting for mine.

For an Si system it’s a little more as 30min to remove and 30mins to fit again than another hour so all in 2 hours I do not know an exhaust centre that charges 75 per hour. Kustom 101 our charging me £40 odd quid.

When it was the 3.0 si system I was looking at £100 tops

Do not get ripped off ask the garage there hourly rate as opposed a job price, them negotiate

Vids coming tomz chaps

Good luck guys

Well i started trying to fit these pipes I got from Paza this morning to my 3.0si

Unfotunatly its not a case of just loosening the exhaust as it doesnt hang down low enough, also the whole weight of the exhaust will put strain on the only other mounting point which is the manifold

If anyone is attempting it on a 3.0si Id suggest buying new gaskets (cat to centre pipe joint) and probably nuts as mine as rotten as hell!

its a pretty simple job though, just need a ratchet with an 8mm, 13mm & 16mm socket & a 20cm extension and then a flat screw driver & some lube to remove the rear rubbers.

Not sure what the fixings are at the front of the exhaust though as i havent got that far

Gona get the gasket sorted and attempt it in a couple of weeks time

Hope this helps someone

Mike

Paza3 I am very interested in this too only just seen the post. I am not far from tewks have you had it done yet, how much was it? Etc!

Guys update

Got fitted this morning cost £46.85 Inc Vat

Am really pleased with the results just a nice increase in pitch and sounds extra fruity and some nice popping, there is 0 drone on the motorway and only really comes alive above 3.5k rpm

Spoken to warren engineering and have agreed a new price for a group buy if there is interest? looking at 20 units

Boys have yours in the back of my car will be in the post Monday Morning.

Vids were only done with an Iphone so not great quality , also it was very wet out so did not want to write my car off on film so took it pretty easy ...

Here are some pics with the pipes fitted:

Great job Paza!!

Was wondering about the fitting, may have my knickers in a twist here but have i read that there could be an issue with the fitting because of a double skin on the back boxes? :?

nah just takes longer to drill

Is there any benefit in getting these (and maybe the top of the silencer) wrapped/coated in exhaust bandage or flexible ceramic before fitting?

Sounds really good just looking forward to receiving and getting mine fitted as it will be interesting to hear what it will sound like on my si :)
