Guys this is still going strong, great to see so many names
Only issues is I have the pipes for a 3.0si but am not going to fit them now due to the change in circumstances. Either can sell these on for £30.00 delivered so someone else or see if they fit the M boxes.

Fascinating mod.
Have those looking into it considered fitting a simple manual on/off valve (pretty much a tap) into the pipe?
That way you could in 30 seconds close the pipes for track days, MOT's, longer drives where you may not want the noise, etc.
I'm by chance going to an exhaust specialist in the next couple of days as my custom system needs a new hanger rubber that they'll be fitting, so may well ask thei rexoperience of this type of conversion.

Thats what I thought, and with the M you've got two pipes so by shutting off either 1, 2 or none you can have three levels
Spoke to a specialist and he was aware of this mod. Seen it on Porshe before. He was actually neutral on it as neither affecting performance (up or down), just creating more rasp and pops from the system.
His only concern was heat to surrounding components if it was rooted close and suggested shield wrapping it.

I contact warren engineering this week, anyone with a 3.0 2003 -2006 need to measure they backboxs , as well as the 2.5. As we do not have measurements yet.
Cars we do have is 3.2m and 3.0 si, so if someone can measure these is would be great so we can get them order altogether.
