New Front Tyres for Z4M

Having my wheels painted next week and will have the front tyres changed at the same time.

Current rear tyres are Vredestein Sessanta and was looking to put the same on the front.

Local supplier only has 1 and says they are no longer made in 225 45 R18.

I can buy on line but the price is getting steep (£125) and I can get what I think are better brands for the same money

Options I have are:

1. Current Vredestein (Ultrac Vorti) - £100.00

2. Michelin Pilot Super Sport - £124.00

3. Any other recommendations

Favouring the Michelin's but would like any comments to help the decision

Do a search on here. Loads of topics on tyres. Popular choice seems the michelins. I've just put a full set on mine and love them.

The Vorti is the replacement for the Sessanta, so maybe that's the way to go if you want to stay with Vreds.

Out of interest, how many miles do you get out of the fronts, as that 25% saving my be wiped out if you get 25% less mileage out of them compared to the Michelins.

My fronts have done over 40k so far, and are at 4mm.

Went for the Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Good recommendation from the forum for Openeo - £125 each delivered.

48 hour delivery and arrived today -from Germany!!!!!

Make you proud to be British to know we can import cheaper from Europe than buying in the UK - Rip off again!!!! :thumbsdown:

Rim protectors sound good having paid £65 per wheel for refurbs

Good recommendation from the forum for Openeo

I bought a set of 4 Goodyear Eagle F1's for my M5 from Oponeo on 9th June last year. Long story short, they finally arrived on 9th July, having taken a full month to arrive and having (allegedly) been routed via somewhere in France. I lost count of how many times I rang and emailed them.

Fortunately I was able to do without the car for that time, but I'd be very wary of ever using Oponeo again.

I ordered mine on Tuesday night and they arrived on Friday.

They kept sending email updates and then a tracking number so I could see where they were.

I was impressed with the service.

If mine had took 4 weeks I would have had a serious problem. I did however pick a tyre that said it was in stock and was available on 48 hour delivery.
