New Fiat 124 Spyder

I quite like it, it's lines are certainly a lot less fussy than the new MX5. It looks better in the video a few posts back. It wouldn't tempt me away from a Z4 but I'd pick it over the MX5.

Yes, the Spider is much nicer. I'm still aiming for a 4CC one day....

Aii, similar styling. I'd have one of those Alfa Spider's in a second.

Couldn't live with the 4C though. Gorgeous car, but the light clusters make me feel physically sick for some reason.

I know exactly what you mean me too. Check out trypophobia lots of people say it dose not exist but talk the pictures creep me the F out!!!

Agree the prototype looks better, but the black production model looks much better than the white one. It seems to be colour-sensitive.

I quote like it - shame it will get a 1.4 turbo engine! If only it could have an updated version of the Lampredi twin-cam that the original had.

Many years ago I had a Fiat 125 with a 1600cc twin-cam, then a 132 with an 1800cc version which was fantastic! Also looked at a 124 Coupe and an original Spider, but I didn't have enough brave pills so I bought a V8 Rover P6B. Mind you that turned out to be as rusty as a Fiat!

Great story.. I just lost an imaculate unrestored 125S -72 a year ago in a garage fire. My ultimate dream car.. :(
On the other hand, without any insurance money I wouldn't be on this forum.

They should have gone with the Alfa Spider they originally planned.

yep .. 100% agree great looking car, always amazes me that car manufactures go to great expense and time to design something . then produce a different product from the original ?

You can't really go wrong with the mx5 shape - although personally I think they have messed up on the details mainly the lights, it should have been an excellent opportunity to add a cheeky spyder to the fiat fun line up, but is kind of bland, so a little dissapointed :(
