hi all
just wanted to give a big shout out and thankyou to Matt AKA Machine Monkey for sorting out my back boxes.
i now have a car that sounds as good as it looks !

Mat sorted me out with a couple of back boxes, which he opened up did a spinkling of magic on them and hey presto ! i now have a sound which is a lot deeper, less raspy.
Mat kindly along with his brother Richard help me fit them ..... well i reversed the car over the pit if that can constitute helping !
With two car nuts down in the pit i could only watch on from above, with thier knowledge of z4's and motors in general, and their sheer egarness to help me, i left it to the pro's .

New tips as well, courtesy of mat's engineering skills ,just gives it a bit more of a meaty look

Mat don't forget the clocks ticking, time to get that turbo monster burning rubber

Thanks for a great review Russ.
Pleasure meeting you. I will do all I can to get it running for when you next come down. I want to see how it fairs against an M

They look the business! Do you get any drone from them at all at low revs ?
Haven't really had a long enough time to play with it yet , only done a couple of hundred miles since the swap . I ve done mainly b roads but have had to go along the m4 at a constant 50mph and can report nothing that's worried / annoyed me . I have noticed at around 1800 rpm in 4th in can be a bit boomy if on a constant throttle ,however putting in 5th or 6th it' goes or dropping down to 3rd and upping the revs it goes . That's me trying to find a drone / boom , I don't usually cruise in that gear or at that revs so not something that would be a constant irritation to me .
I'll report back once I've done a few miles ...but at the mo the fact that I come home from work and them find myself swapping my car keys from the Audi to jump into the z4m just to go for a drive I think says it all !
