IIRC, either Sweden or Norway has a highway running with Hydrogen stations along the route. The filling stations convert water into Hydrogen at what looks like a large soda vending machine. No cost in electricity was given for the daily operation of the machines.

That could be Norway except they don't have a highway with stations along the route. There are stations in two cities and plans to put up more stations along a 'highway' between them. I say 'highway' because it's really a bad road, one lane most of the places.

That may be it, I was watching a documentry on the Discovery channel on using alternative fuels and did not remember all of the details.
