New E85 3.0i from the alps!

Hi guys,

greetings from Switzerland! Just bought my "new" 2004 E85 3.0i and found this forum very helpful.

Got this 3.0i with only 59k km, should be equivalent to 36k miles with all maintenance done in the main dealership. It is in pristine condition. It's almost stripped out of extras, but I was convinced with the overall condition and TLC given by the previous owner.

I had a '97 Boxster, a '00 Honda S2000 sold 3 years ago and have been without a roadster ever since. Wanted to buy a roadster on the cheap side to make company to my '07 BMW 650i, and the Z4 was the chosen one :)

I have already a question regarding the stereo. It says "BMW CD", so I assume it is the most basic radio available (t's not even the Business); do you know if it is possible to activate the "aux in" in this unit?

Welcome along! Not sure about the Aux but certainly someone will be able to help (they will be along soon no doubt!) and nice Zed you have there!

If you have an Aux in, factory fitted it should be on the under dash panel above the ashtray lid.
My business cd didn't have this, I bought the cable from BMW dealer for about £55 iirc, there are cheaper options on eBay but the original BMW cable works perfectly.

If you do a search there is a simple how to on here. If yours doesn't have the connection fitted.

As above mine is the business so the above might not be of use to you.
What does it say in your owners manual?
