New Delphi Coils - Reset Adaptations?

Hi All,

Tomorrow i will be installing a new set of Delphi Coils (GN10210) on my E85 2.5i 2004 M54B25. There is currently a mix of different coils (5!) in the car and its developed a misfire on Cylinder 5.

Is it best practice to reset the adaptation or just plug and play?

I have a Creator 410 and ISTA+ however i haven't reset the adaptations before.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I can't imagine different coils make a blind bit of differentce (spark generation times are orders of magnitude different to flame front propagation) but there's no harm in resetting the adaptations. It might compensate for any general wear over the years.
 
I put 6 brand new coils in mine recently, they were Bosch. I didnt do any adaptation resets and everything is running fine.
