My E89 and the E85 I owned for 4 years before, were always my DD's. Never intended or wanted a DD but things change. Since becoming a Grandparent back in May I knew the time would come where I might have to get rid of the E89 for something with 4 doors and a tad more sensible. Like that was ever gonna happen.
I've been looking for a few months at a small four door Supermini/ City Car. Had a hard look at the Aygo/C1/107, the new Twingo, Nissan Juke, Kia Soul amongst others. Main criteria above all, is that I need to get the E89 off the drive easily without having to move the 2nd car to do so. Was tough getting it off the drive when my Daughter visited in her Mk2 Focus. So small was the key that dismissed the Juke and Soul that are both unbelievably a tad shorter than a Focus.
Also wanted reasonable economy and as near to Zero Road Tax as poss. After spotting a Forfour on the road and after doing a bit of research decided to blow the budget and get one. Found this on Autotrader that had been pxed in, and made the 65 mile trip to view. Paid a deposit and picked it up on Saturday. 6 months old and 3k on the clock. Comes with loads of toys like Nav,Cruise,AC, Stop/Start, reversing camera etc.
Only thing I'm not liking at the moment are the Black Alloys....hate em with a passion on any car although these are growing on me but can see myself getting others in the Summer.
A proper Marmite car that'll probably gonna get a lot of hate on here but I love it at the mo.
