New dampers with lowering springs

I have put this thread in here, as the parts I need are for a Z3, not Z4, but doesn't make much difference I suppose.

So....I need to lower my Z3 (a lot) and I need all new dampers and associated parts. I think it makes sense to buy a 'kit' with lowering springs and dampers.
As I want to drop the car as far as I can, especially the rear, the only 'kit' I can find that will drop it more than 30mm is by ST Suspension. The kit is very cheap, so I am a little concerned.

Any advice please?

No experience of this but H&R springs seem to have a good reputation and this thread shows a before and after at 30mm

I also saw VMax 40mm springs and they seem to be well established.

Thanks but the V maxx ones are also 30mm for the Z3.

I will probably go for the Eibach pro kit and OEM dampers, as I am struggling to find much else (apart from dodgy eBay stuff).
I need to drop the car quite a bit at the rear but can't find a decent solution TBH.

They say 40mm front and rear, would be worth a message to check for sure👍

Back in the day the angle grinder was the weapon of choice if you wanted to lower your car. There wasn't the selection of lowering springs around that there is now.

Someone told me it is illegal to cut down springs. No idea if it's true but sort of makes sense.

Its not specifically listed in the MOT manual as being a problem. It just talks about an "unsafe modification" which is a judgement call really.
