First commute this morning, piece of cake. Did consider getting an autobox as I commute in a lot of stop-start traffic but now I have the manual I know I made the right choice...
Mine was a similar experience as you. I wanted black all the spec but also red leather. Couldn't find one to save myself so got a silver grey with black leather and no cruise. Although you can retrofit it but more difficult on the M. Ony two things on the spec sheet it doesnt have it heated seats and cruise. Not too fussed about the heated seats tho never really warmed to them

Strange that with the Z so few have cruise, IMO very useful but it was an option whereas on the newer cars it came apart of a package including everythng useful the name escapes me and the visibility pack isn't right I don't think.
Bit harder to find exactly what you want in the M tho because there are roughly only 550 of them in the UK.

Back on topic - nice car with a propper roof. Welcome to the nut house.
I bought a mangowalk aerial off fleabay (they have an ebay shop) and there were millions to choose from in every possible length.
p.s. Retrofitting Cruise isn't too hard - providing you don't mind cutting a few wires - you could do the grounwork and get a mobile autoelectrician to do the rest.

What I don't understand is why the original owner would spend £1,500 on the sat nav plus all the other extras but not the extra £150 on cruise control, but each to their own.

Had it in pretty much every modern BMW I can remember apart from the Z. So maybe people just didn't realise but there is a huge proportion of Zs without it.

Snap on the 108s Good spec, mine is an auto without cruise but it just means I push it a bit more haha
