New Coupe Owner

Hi everyone, thought I'd introduce myself after having owned a Z4 Coupe for over a month. Better late than never I suppose. :D

Some of you may recognise the car, I traveled from South Wales to buy it from Mr.Tidy as it looked such a good example.

Since owning it I have; changed the tyres from run flats to Michelin Pilot Sport 4, fitted gloss black kidney grilles, sorted the leaky door membranes (both sides), upgraded the headlight bulbs, fitted an aftermarket radio and added many miles.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time with it so far and I'm looking forward to many more years.

Cheers,

Jordan.

Lookis great and a few mods already, what radio did you go for? Something I've been considering doing myself

Thanks both.

I got a Pioneer SPH-10BT.
Has a built in phone mount and the lighting can be changed to match the orange of the dials etc. I'll try to get some photos later.

The single din faceplate for it looks a bit crap to be honest though.
Bought from here: https://www.incarmusic.co.uk/bmw-z4-e85-e86-single-din-car-fascia-panel-iso-wiring-adaptor-fitting-kit-1.html

Plastic texture doesn't match the vents and the fit isn't great, top edge of the faceplate isn't flush with the bottom edge of the vents.

Welcome from NZ. Z is looking great and well done on the things you have done to the car already. I am sure you will have lots of fun in it.

Hi Jordan,

I was hoping you would be joining the forum!

It sounds like you have been busy already. I wish I had got around to fitting non-runflats - it must ride better now.

Glad you have been enjoying it and I hope you do continue to enjoy it for many years.

All the best,

Iain.

I've been on and off here for a while, just reading.
Haven't got too much to contribute at the moment.

Rides a lot better, had it professionally aligned too, albeit to factory settings. Lot less tramlining as well.

Will be enjoying more once this lockdown is over, it's very clean at the moment anyway.

Cheers,

Jordan.

Photo of the radio attached, the phone mount tucks away inside when it's not in use. The single din fascia is very crappy though so hoping to change it at some point.

Good to hear that, especially the reduced tramlining.

Now I'm wishing I had got around to it! :(

Roll-on the end of lockdown so we can all put some miles on our Z4s!

Cheers, Iain.
