Just bought my Z4 coupe, privately, in titanium silver, picked up from tamworth area. What do you think.
Details are:
2007 ( registered Feb 07, despite being a 56 )
Two tone heated electric seats
BMW Business CD player, with ipod connectivity
4 new runflats
32000miles
extra Compartment pack
cup holders
not really sure what else was extra.
Throughly pleased with the car, owned it for 3 weeks now and already added a stubby aerial, new plates as the ones in the pics had had it.I have also clayed and detailed the car but not had chance to take any pics yet, as im away now for a few weeks. Crusie control is next as although its a 07 im not really phased by the extra wiring as im an electrial technician anyhow so gonna give it a go when i can afford too.
Bought this car as an upgrade to a previously owned R reg peugoet 106 diesel (not quite the same fuel consumption) sadly the girlfriend has it for work most days as her commute is 15 mins as mine is over an hour, so trying to keep the miles down and fuel costs. She has the good deal.
Took it straight to the dealership and had the indicator badges replaced under warranty as they had moisture behind them, picky i know but when its free you cant complain. Got them to do a health check as it runs out of warranty Feb, but what a waste of time, its a sheet of paper with a big list of what to check, and they ownly filled in the visual checklist, and didnt really do a good job of washing it.
My car is due for an inspection 1 service in Feb, so i thought i would do a little reasearch into the costs. I phoned every dealership in lincolnshire and what do you think the variation in cost was for the same service, from the cheapest to the most expensive !!!!!!!
£160
I couldnt believe it, yet when i rang my dealership who were £120 dearer than the cheapest, they said they would disocunt it !, to which i was just as annoyed as, why didnt they charge a cheaper rate any way.
So any of you guys out there, check out all the dealers in your area and haggle.
I expected to tax my car for a year and an inspection one for £215 and £380 respectivley, a total of £565, after haggling i have got / will get it for £215 and £220, a total of £435 .
Bargain !
Sorry for the rant, but i wanted to share with you that the dealers will rip you off unless you do your homework.
Cheers Chris
