New Coupe checking in

Hi,

Just thought i'd say a quick hello and present another coupe!

It's an 06 Sport in Midnight Blue with cream nappa leather and piano black finish.

Had the little beast for about a month and absolutely loving it...gave up the company car and got back into something a bit more interesting.

Having been lurking for a while I thought i'd put up some pics and say thanks for all the info!

Mods so far

- New stubby is on the way, tried a cheapie from Ebay and the reception was awful, so ordered the BMW one so hopefully that works better.
- Interior led lights
- Runflats have been ditched in favour of Michelin SS4 - drives sooo much better!
- Pioneer DEH 80PRS head unit and Focal components - had the basic 6 speaker setup and multichanger...it wasn't bad...but having been spoiled by a B&O setup in the previous car I really wanted something a bit better and with all the features whilst not breaking the bank...so far so good and having the mid's put back in the door makes a difference and the HU is decent enough to power them well enough.

I'm still tempted by getting an Amp and maybe a powered sub in the boot but...i'll let my bank balance recover a bit first!

- ZHP gear knob ordered and hopefully fitted this week, the current silver short knob looks nice but has a bit of wiggle and doesn't feel quite right...

- LeatherZ centre armrest - not cheap but really useful!

- Ordered the liquid leather kit and made a start on cleaning the seats before using the dye...that's a job for next weekend hopefully.

- Very tempted by the CSL reps and quad exhausts in the future, but for now I think i'm pretty much set.

So far so good, just need to drive it more :driving:

Also just to pick up on something someone mentioned in another thread about fuelling...

1st tank - Shell optimax - no problem
2nd tank - Tesco unleaded - within 10mins it was lurching and juddering...thought i'd royally f*kd something up.

Tried the Fuel sensor reset trick thingy - (switch it on / off 15secs etc) and seemed to behave a bit better after that and topped it up with Shell again soon after and it's behaved ever since..so there does seem to be some sensitivity / adjustment period.

Cheers

Nice looking coupe.

Tax will be along shortly to officially welcome you and I dare to tread on toes.

Colour combo looks ace and I love the roof.

Welcome to the club, the mans version of the Z4 :poke:

I see your local to me (Basingstoke) should come out for a blast sometime with us other local zeds.

Welcome OP!

I do like the contrast of a dark exterior and light interior, but then I may be biased!

You are also very near me (I'm in Sandhurst) so it looks like we need to sort out a local meet-up as there seem to be quite a few Coupe owners nearby (and we can meet on a rainy day, unlike the hairdressers) :poke:
