I took the Countryman into Proteq Detailers in Lincoln on Wednesday for some new car protection treatment. They kept it two days. It has to go back in two weeks for a ‘protected wash’ when I will be provided with some guidance on maintaining the finish.
Pleased with the result.CB030001-11D8-40ED-9F7A-178DDC94A92B.jpegF7E1A945-7FD2-4E9D-8737-592007B4BC94.jpegB5C9E301-3372-49ED-887C-7A6B7D40D702.jpeg60CDFBD7-52B6-4D33-A477-8B9FDCC61793.jpegAAEA426A-FADE-4C33-AFDA-7685601B3180.jpegCFB0A00A-3503-40E3-A351-8648D0FB30EF.jpeg

That looks fantastic, but the bright lighting makes the colour look a bit lighter.

Definitely more of a Maxi though.

Yes it is a bit bigger than the original Mini.
Then in fairness I have grown a little since the 60s. Not in height I might add.. :D

Looks great, do you know what product they used?

PS Think that green would look go on a G29

I think it’s something called Max Protect. The website is max-protect.co.uk

Do I take it green isn’t your favourite colour?
Not really, but it isn't my "Biggi" is it?

I do find it amusing how colour trends on cars go around. If you had said you wanted a green car 20 years ago, you would have been sectioned.

I haven’t had many green ones. But I did have a new green MG Midget back in 1968 and a green Subaru Forester in 2010. My dad was superstitious and wouldn’t have a green are at any price. He believed them to be unlucky.I hope he was wrong! :x

I had a Emerald green Mazda 323 back in the day. It was one of the last 500 made and had a Mazda V6 Zedos engine. Bought it at 18 months old and sold it 3 years later. It is the only car I have sold for more than I originally paid for it

Saw an M4 in the same green which I was told was Isle of Man Green and it looked great.

This is a limited edition colour which at the moment only on ‘M’ cars but will be available at some point in the future.

The first MG I road tested in the 1970s was an MG Midget in the dark British Racing Green and I loved the colour, couldn't afford it though and ended up with a red MK2 sprite. Would love a z4 in it. I think it became bad luck because the British Racing teams had green for their colour and they kept crashing.

Coincidentally, my dad had a green Austin Maxi at one point. It would only go into 5th gear on a Monday. Those were the days!
