It’s done, rebuilt m sport seats and dyed to Amarone including door cards. Well I’m over the moon with it.

It had the standard black leather seats. I got a pair of knackerd m sport seats off eBay and rebuilt them on my metal basis. They were red so I dyed them along with the black door cards.

Did you have to strip the finish on the existing seats or just a quick wipe down and dye ?

Did you spray or wipe the dye on ?

They have come out really well

To answer mk4000 question I purchased a kit from furniture clinic. I used leather prep then sanded and then Alcohol solution. Then it’s rub on two coats two coats of dye then sprayed dye on 2 coats. After this it’s 3 coats of satin clear coat to protect it. It’s quite a long process and took some time. But it’s about £100 to change the colour, which ain’t bad.

Wow that's a stunning colour change. When you say sanded down, was that by hand or machine? And how do you apply the new colour?

I need to refresh my driver's seat and just looking for some tips on what to do, as I've never done anything like it before.
