new coilovers for my z4 mc

Hi all,
I want to change my coilovers in order to make some trackdays this summer but I don't want to spend more than 1000 euros ........
the only 3 solutions I have found are those:
1. h&r coilovers only high adjustable 1200 euro

2. bilstein b12 coiloveers no adjustable 800 euro

3. bc coilovers high and compression adjustment 850 euro

I know bc coilovers are made in China and not great materiala made but has also camber plates included........
anyone know bc????
which one do you suggest me for your experience???

Have you tried tracking with stock suspension and found it inadequate? Try a few track days with stock suspension first and then see. :)
 
yes I have made 3 trackdays in 2011 and the handling is not good in track rolling and understeering first of all ........
I don't want to make time attack but make an handling good for track and not too hard for street ,consider that I use the car 3 days in a month in street and track ............
is a second car.......
 
OK then, if cost is an issue you should consider getting camber plates instead of a full coilover system. With front camber plates you can get more than 3 degrees of negative camber curing whatever understeer you might experience. It will not cure suspension roll but it will help a lot.

Another and much cheaper way to get more negative camber up front is to install a camber bolt kit like this one http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-424-e36-z3-front-camber-bolt-kit.aspx (i know it says E36 but it has been tested and installed on Z4Ms). With this you can get up to -3°camber.. I've bought one myself but havent had the time to get it installed and to have a new alignment done.
 
good idea but a coilover kit with camber plates at -2,5 for me it's the solution even if it cost much more..... :|
 
Well, I'm out of suggestions then. :) The H&R setup get decent reviews on other forums and i'm not familiar with the BC coilovers you mention, also i haven't heard of anyone with the Bilstein B12. The Bilstein PSS10s are pretty good but they may be out of your budget...

The biggest fault on the Z4M are the oem brakes... These are the first thing you must change if you are serious into track days. IMO the oem suspension is ok at track days and I was fine with the oem Z4M suspension en did not consider changing it. Then I drove with a Z4 that was equipped with an adjustable KW V3 suspension . Wow; I did not expect that the difference was this big and I really liked it... If there is one thing that I wanted to change in the future then it's going to be the suspension... In my case: I would chose between KW V3 (1.500euro) or Bilstein PSS 9 (2.000euro). When I bought my Z4M I did not want to change anything...now there is already a full AP kit under the car :oops:

3 track days a year....? When I got my AP's I did 3 trackdays in one week ;) Don't think its worth upgrading to a really expensive suspension if you only do 3 track days a year... Go for the Bilstein or H&R that you suggested.

anyway I had been in track a lots of time in the past with cars and bikes but in the 2011 I had less time for job issues....now I have more time to dedicate to my car and track...brakes are the first mod in fact I had changed tubes ,pads and oil ,,,,good result for now .....next step coilovers ...probably bilstein b12 for 780 euro....

I did this when my AP brakes were finally on the car and working well... It was a great week! :D In normal circumstances I will do around 10 track days a year...

Good god please don't buy BC. Infact IMO, this is one area where you can't skimp, IMO , stick with stock, add camber plates, add RTAB limiters, proper alignment and save up for top end set of coil overs.
