NEW COIL SPRING SETTLE

How long do most people find the springs take to settle went for a run yesterday morning after fitting new springs on Thursday but still sitting a little high for my liking :(

Will go out again today looks like a nice blue sky job :D

I think you have got used to the wear on the old springs which will have had the moderate effect of lowering the car. What you have now is the factory ride height restored - although from my experience there will be very little difference

Went out for a quick spin this morning which turned into 4 hours and she seems to have settled more prob more or less as before as the car only had 11k when i bought her Jan 08 and only 20k now so not a lot of miles on the origonal springs but even with the M.Sport suspension still would like to go lower but do not want all the crashing through the steering wheel that comes with a lowered car.

I and as many others have done fitted Eibach springs to my car a months ago, it lowered it another 15mm over the M Sport suspension and can honestly say I have felt no significant change to the ride quality over the stock suspension if anything the intial crash has actually improved IMO.

I agree with those comments - if anything it's better than standard, although I changed from RFTs to non-RFTs aroud the same time so hard to say where the biggest difference came from.

Have thought about lowering the car new shocks and springs may think about it next year as would look so much nicer a bit lower
