I've just got my hands on a Porsche Cayenne 4.5 l turbo. Anyone no of any common faults or unexpected bills I should look out for ?

I know absolutely nout about these. However if you could please, please, please take your new baby out for a full throttle blast tomorrow & then post up the MPG figures, I feel certain you would make all here feel sooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! good. :evil: :wink:

I know a guy who bought one of these to tow his caravan and boat.
He loves it but walks everywhere unless it is raining.
Wonder why?
 
JohnAlexander - don't think we are going to be much help, or be very supportive on this one?! They usually have nice coloured calipers though! :D :poke:
 
Depending on the year they like to munch coilpacks for breakfast!
If you have the air suspension they can explode but not all that common.
Can get play in track rod ends but nothing serious.
Coolant leak from coolant pipes that run under the inlet manifold, if spotted is a big job! Generally smell coolant whilst running and looking under the bonnet.
Other than that, hope you have deep pockets for tyres, brakes and servicing!

Thought I'd post a quick update.

Car is just amazing. The v8 turbo is a beast…..

When I bought it I went in with my eyes open but having said that the mpg is terrible!!!

Overall 5/5 for fun

Thankyou. Thankyou Thankyou. I've been telling myself, for years, what an eco friendly run about the ///M Roadster is and finally proof positive. :D :thumbsup:

Enjoy the fuel prices, I expect much fuel tax, will be duely applied, the day after the election.
