I am the member (lurker for a while, 1st real post) who bought the black/red interior 3.0 Z4 from the buy/sell forum.
I have been looking for a fun car for a number of months to complement my daily driver (A6 3.0TDI Quattro). I narrowed it down to Z4/Boxster S. I live in the Lake District - very few car garages in the area and certainly they have less 'choice' than garages in a city. 6 weeks ago I found a nice Boxster S,with traction (a requirement due to my inexperience with RWD), in Gloucester. Spoke to the guy etc etc, lots of additional pics - I arranged to go down on the train (meeting brother who knows about cars!). Beautiful car, excellent condition... only problem I could not fit! I kept banging my head on the roll bar! Very gutted, both due to my stupidity and also losing the chance to own and drive a lovely marque! Anyway I then spent the next few weeks looking at Z4's. I went up to Glasgow to view a silver with Xenons and Ellipsoids - found the gearbox very bad 1st to 2nd. I have driven a few before and know they are all poor, this was particularly bad! I then found an Alpina...I was very tempted to spend all my savings but couldn't justify it on a 2nd car!! Anyway browsing the board last Sunday I saw the black Z4 with red interior. Just like Andy, I said " I want that 1!". Now, this is where it gets interesting! I can not get time off work (public sector) apart form set times, I phoned my brother who lives near where the car was located. He went and viewed it and I bought it by proxy through him! He described it in every detail and to be fair it is exactly as described! I'm not sure who was more nervous! Either me for trusting him or him for spending my money!!I finally picked it up yesterday(met in Macclesfield and I then drove back roof down - very red face this morning due to sunburn!!!

The spec is great:2005, 3.0i, black with red interior - as we all know the best combination, although does look rather boudoir!18" stars,Xenons, heated seats,bluetooth. 10 speaker hifi and remote roof opening! It has just had MOT and Inspection II .
Questions
1.) No CD multichanger - does Dension 300 still work for IPOD/IPHONE integration? Other options?
2.) It has a very small hole in the inner lining of the hood (end of a pencil size) - best way to repair?
