New Car Tax ripp off

Well been looking at replacing the Z4 to an M5 - got a great deal and I mean great only £550 per month plus £2k and my car on a PCP over 4 years.

Then I started looking at cost of ownership - and the idea suddenly became a nightmare - lol.

Anyway, was looking at the new car tax happening in April 2017 - and going for the B48 engine 40i that be in the new Z4/5 will have an annual tax bill of £1,200 per year (assuming its over 40k)

For the 30i engine which is an little 2 ltr will only be £200 (based on its under 40k)

So if you thinking of getting a new car - get one before April

This is one of the reasons i made my change last September!

The tax rise has generally slithered under the publics radar as did the £690 showroom tax when i bought my car!
 
At the other end of the scale this Hyundai i10 I've ordered should be 30 quid a year and I think it will go upto 140 if it doesn't arrive before April. Whole point was to go for a economical car. Robbers.

You haven't understood it whatsoever. It will most definitely not cost £1200 a year (after the first year) to tax a Z4.
