Long story but I used to own a lovely 2006 Z4 2.5 auto M Sport, loved it! However after the breakdown of a relationship it was gone. Since then I have had a nice example of a TT roadster (1.8 225) and currently driving a Golf GT TDI, which is great in many ways.

However my finances are now back in order and I'm looking to have some fun again, my car options are, Z4m , 370Z or BMW M3(2009). The M3 is awesome but I would have to cut back to afford it, however the drive is mind blowing and maybe worth it!. BUT I'm still in love with the look of the Z4 and it would give me the option to use it as a second car. As of yet Im yet to drive a Z4m, I have driven a 3.0si and it was good, is the Z4m totally different (you cant compare a regular 3 series to M3, not even the 335!).

Im going to look to test drive a Z4m ASAP, any advice on what to look for, and also anything that regularly goes wrong.

My Z4 Shopping list:

Almost any colour but silver
Low Miles (upto 50k)
Preferably, Red, Grey, Champagne leather
Bluetooth
SatNav
Cruse control
Heated Seats
Upgraded audio would be good to

Thoughts please :)

Nice taste in cars OP  I own a 59 plate M3 & use it as my daily but I used to run a Z4MR as a weekender & 520d as a daily.

The M3 is awesome & a cracking allrounder but I miss having something nice in the garage to have some fun in so I would recommend a Z4M wholeheartedly, good luck in your search. :)

Thanks guys, it looks perfect just quite a drive away.

I was thinking of getting a full RAC inspection on it, its £250 but could save me £££ in the long run. Does anyone have any experience of this?
