I could paint them myself,as I usually do anyway but it's a matter of principal. Have sent a nice wee email of to BMW so will be interesting to see there reply. Just waiting on dealer getting back to me this week. Most people wouldn't notice the calipers,but I do & it's annoying me. Plus I have OCD when it comes to my cars. Regular cleaning with a pressure washer keeps them gleaming.
Callipers and hubs never age well but with modern minimal structure wheels things are so much more visible.
By far the worst I have seen are on my sister-in-law's five month old SLK. They look like something out of a scrapyard.
not interested in warranty claim. Will take this further direct with BMW. Local dealer was embarrassed & are taking the car in the next few weeks to paint all the calipers at there cost. Can't say fairer than that.
