New car no newbie

Hi all,

Like the topic says. New Car but no newbie. :)
Joined this forum in 2011 when I was the proud owner of a E85 '03 2.5 Z4. see http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=32047&p=432446#p432446
But that car was sold early this year. But for a good cause since I wanted to get an E89 model. Not just any. I had a huge list of specs, options and colors that needed to be met. It had to be:
- blue or the champaign color
- 7 gear DCT
- 35i or is (don't like the rear bumper on the is model though)
- 18" or 19" wheels
- White interior
- Sport Seats, heated + electric
- Sat Nav
- HiFi system
- auto-dip mirrors

Apart from the options the car had to be in good condition and below 100.000kms.

Since the number of cars offered on the secondhand market are slim in The Netherlands I decided to import the car from Germany by myself. Big risk but if you go through all the paperwork it is much cheaper and kind of fun too.

So after searching for a few months I found 2 cars in Munich. Decided to take the 7 hour drive to look at the cars! Eventually I bought one of the two and drove it home last week. It sits in the garage waiting for the paperwork and proper plates and insurance.
But here are two photos when looking at the car.

Very nice, good colour combo as said above.
I really don't like black wheels (old guys opinion) silver wheels would really lift the car
Enjoy :driving:

+ 1 from a probably equally old guy!

Actually looking to get a general opinion on the alloys. I bought it fitted with these and they are in new condition (the guy just had them powder coated) but I'm not so sure. I don't think they don't fit the car but.....hmmmmm difficult. Let's say they just give the car a different attitude. So far amongst friends and family it's a 50/50 on keeping it and changing back to original. What's the verdict?
