Have you sold out and gone to work in the evil car trade, then? :?

Got made redundant over a year ago, this is my 4th job since then.
Must beat working for a living? :D

The BMW dealership? Long hours, about 45 a week and always on the go. Had a few shifts with zero break, and of course we can't eat or drink if in the showroom.

That's the branch I work at

Was on there not long ago, having a discussion with a sales executive who at the time was personally driving a thundernight Z4 and was the ‘authority’ on them seemingly. When discussing the deal he asked me why was I only considering an M40i and not anything else in the range, was is because the M40i was all wheel drive for the extra safety and driving in the winter? Conversation was very short lived after that :exitright:

Nice car though, first time seeing thundernight on a G29

Who was the salesperson? I know of one who had a Z4 as a demo, wasn't Thundernight though.

Canny remember tbh, I’ll ask Kathleen. Was about 4 months ago, about 30ish, shortish blond hair . Said he was driving a 20i G29 as his company car but never saw it. It was a young girl that brought the car round to see us then she took us upstairs to meet the guy to discuss figures.

Kathleen also took a bit of a shine to this :o

Will keep you in mind as and if I can persuade STMBO that I need a new G29

Cheers mate, I'm just a product genius though, no commission for me, but I can have a word with the product consultant.

God no, hide the bank cards :!:

I have rather fallen in love with a Brooklyn gray M2 tbh, i just need to sell my Zed, my audi and the S1000r. Oh and a kidney, but Lynn is being a bit difficult over that......

They don't provide services like that in England! :o
Or maybe that's the reason why BM dealerships charge so much, who knows?

And no wonder Craig wanted a job there. Saves a fortune on Toms!

Martin, honestly, Kathleen is one of the least materialistic people I’ve ever met and doesn’t look at prices or has no idea of cars, running costs, purchase prices etc. So the exact quote as she was taking the M2 picture was…………….

“Yeah, I definitely like the Chocholate Z4 (dairy milk wrapper colour) but maybe we should get the baby blue one for the winter too?” :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed:

Needless to say my look and comment that if we turned up with both of those the drugs squad would be through the front door within two days seemingly was enough to answer her question

Much better class of customers up here, dealerships look after us, just look at the standard of the product geniuses they employ

I definitely would not describe her like that, she was a lovely girl. If she’d been doing the next bit I might’ve had a new Zed by now :D

Cheers but can we involve the small slim blonde also? 8)

Might have known bullshit job titles have been embraced by the car trade. I presume that is 'car salesman' in pre-bullshit speak?

I hate this modern proliferation of bullshit job titles. I have a friend who says her daughter's job is "customer satisfaction consultant". Took me ages to work out she is in the complaints department as admin, or filing clerk in old money.

Love the G29 in purple - looks really nice.

Not certain on the new M2s looks, drives well though I believe

Sean, as with the Z4 I can GUARANTEE you that she has no idea what car that is it’s the baby blue colour, wheels and kit she liked. It could’ve been a 1 litre :headbang:

Andy, the baby blue I can understand, the rest of it is awful, I think the earlier versions far better, stick with the Z4, far better all round
